Work Permit Application

We are aware that some of our students have or are in the process of applying for part time jobs. We fully support this however wanted to draw parents’ attention to the legal requirement for school aged children who are working to gain a work permit from Cornwall Council. Parents can support their child in gaining a permit by helping them complete the attached form. Cornwall Council will then assess the working hours and nature of employment and if agreed grant the permit to work and share this information with the employer.  Any child employment must follow the (Children and Young Persons Act 1933 Section 18) guidance around hours of employment.
