Sports Leaders

Year 10 pupils at Penair School have the opportunity of taking the Level 2 Sports Leadership Course. The course is delivered during core PE lessons and is a nationally recognised qualification, which is well regarded with colleges and universities across the country.  

The level 2 qualification allows pupils to gain practical experience working with young people in a sporting setting.  We work together to help pupils find practical opportunities with our partner primary schools and local sports clubs.  

The course is delivered in both a practical and theoretical manner and students are given the opportunity to learn skills such as: communication, general leadership, how to manage behavior, how to motivate young people, how to be a good mentor and how to plan and lead successful sessions. 

Each school year the Penair Sports Leaders assist in the running of the following events:
