Penair Partner Schools

Penair has successful and strong working relationships with our surrounding ‘partner’ primary schools in the Truro area.  These schools are: 

Archbishop Benson Primary School 

Bosvigo Primary School 

Devoran Primary School 

Kea Community Primary School 

St Erme with Trispen Primary School 

St Mary’s Church of England Primary School 
Tregolls Primary School 

Strong links also exist with Truro Nursery School.  

This is a true partnership in that there is openness and collaboration across all schools who support each other in all that we do. This starts at the strategic level with the Headteachers of all schools who meet together on a regular basis.  These regular meetings are then translated into operational activities across the partnership where pupils from all schools spend time at Penair in order to participate in a vast range of activities that are classroom-based and sports-based.   On most Fridays any visitor to Penair School will see pupils from partner primary schools taking part in sporting activities that are led by staff and by Penair School young Sports leaders.  Junior Sports Leaders help to organise multi-skills sports event while the Sport, Health & Fitness Faculty hosts workshops as well as mini-sports days for Primary Schools.  

These activities throughout the year contribute to ensuring that there is a smooth transition from primary to secondary education.   

The network of schools also provide continuing professional development between colleagues.
