Walk and Talk

Summary of Intention: Allow students time to be listened to and to reflect on behaviours. Support is given to build resilience and successful behaviour strategies

Expected Outcome: Students will have an increased set of skills and strategies for supporting and reflecting on actions and behaviours.

Targeted Youth Support

Summary of Intervention: A ‘Targeted Youth Support Worker’ is assigned to support students in identifying risk taking actions and to establish strategies to help them make good, informed choices. They also work to help students build trusted adult relationships within school and aid building resilience.

Expected Outcome: To see a steady increase in attendance and the building of positive peer relationships.

SWO Lead Anxiety Group

Summary of Intention: Group session where students can discuss concerns with peers and a dedicated staff member. These sessions also provide pre-teaching to support curriculum changes and the transition from KS3 and KS4.

Expected Outcome: To encourage peer to peer support increase resilience, self- belief and to build successful self-regulation techniques.

Social Prescriber

Summary of Intention: An intervention delivered by The Chaos Group, whose ethos is to provide imaginative and proactive support. Sessions, held weekly or fortnightly, focus on young people’s wellbeing through signposting, encouragement and guidance into extracurricular activities.

Expected outcome: To provide support of student’s mental wellbeing and engagement in positive activities.

1:1 Talk Time

Summary of Intention: Supports students in developing emotional regulation and strategies for managing social emotional and sensory demands within the school environment. Sessions follow a person- centred approach, giving students dedicated time to express their views.

Expected Outcome:  To help student learn strategies aid emotional regulation and engagement with school life.

Exam Stress

Summary of intention: Working alongside the EP to help students develop strategies and routines that reduce anxiety linked to exam preparation, revision and performance pressure.

Expected Outcomes: Students to be better equipped to manage anxieties surrounding exam fulfilment.
