Elizabeth is a healthcare governance improvement specialist with wide experience in leading and managing turnaround programmes in risk, assurance, regulatory and governance matters. Elizabeth set up her own independent consultancy in 2011.
Elizabeth was born in Cornwall and went to school in Truro before building a successful track record working in financial management roles in local government and the private sector, and inspection and regulation with the Care Quality Commission. She has held director-level governance posts in NHS and private healthcare provider organisations in both the acute and mental health sectors, giving her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by those working to deliver high quality outcomes for the people they serve. Her particular strengths are working effectively with director-level teams, and managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams. Elizabeth is skilled in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Elizabeth joined Penair in 2016 and is passionate about the quality of the education and personal development opportunities offered to pupils during their time at the school. Elizabeth uses her experience to ensure the school’s governance and assurance arrangements effectively contribute to maximising the potential of every pupil who attends Penair School.
Elizabeth has been Chair of the Board of Governors since December 2019
